Zach wins the first part of the HoH competition, only to face Dick, the winner of the second part of the HoH competition, in the final HoH. Dick pulls ahead to win the final HoH, and he easily decides to evict Zach. The final pair in the BIG BROTHER 8 house is dad and daughter duo Dick and Daniele.

Brutal Conditions Brings Out Bravery
Zach, Daniele and Dick are still hanging on in the Bunny Hop HoH for the right to compete in the final part of the three part HoH competition. The housemates show tremendous endurance as they are showered with rain, blown with powder and feathers and generally tested to their last nerve. "The goal was to win the first two parts of this three part competition," Dick reveals while Daniele admits, "If any part of this competition has anything to do with cold water, I'm doomed…" adding, "The water felt like melted snow falling on me." Daniele is shaking so badly after two hours that she cries. Once the water dries up, Daniele and Dick start playing strategy. She tells her dad to distract Zach by taunting him. "You have confusion when it comes to strategy and reality…Nothing to say Zach? Come on, say something." But Zach is s study of concentration as he maintains his focus. Again the rain starts and Daniele shakes violently, before she falls off her pedestal and cries all the way into the house and into the shower. "I feel good, I'm shivering and I'm here and I'm not moving," Dick shouts. Zach starts mocking his rival. "I've got forty tattoos, I'm so awesome!" he shouts as Dick watches him, unimpressed. Daniele returns wrapped in a blanket to support her dad and keep him inspired.

After five hours Daniele smiles, "Come on old man, you've gotten this far. You're doing amazing... I love you." Dick finds inspiration in her words and lasts another few hours. After seven hours, Daniele finds it hard to watch her dad who is barely able to move and shivering in pain. "I don't wanna quit," he whispers to her. "It's okay, if you can't do it, it's okay," Daniele whispers to her dad. After over seven hours, Dick surrenders to his pain and lets go of his key. Zach sees his competitor's surrender, and jumps from his pedestal to walks over to Dick. "That's incredible man," Zach comforts the older man. Daniele wraps her father in a towel and hands him a cigarette before Dick limps back into the house. Dick feels he has let his daughter down, but Daniele comforts him. "Dad I love you, do you hear me?" She hugs him. Dick needs to gather himself as Zach reveals how he coped with Dick's taunts by thinking of him in a certain way. " I just treat him like a drill sergeant. I managed to officially break Dick."
