Ben runs back downhill, carrying the large steel box with Christa not far behind. When Ben arrives at the base of the hill, he reunites with his crew and together, they run back to the longboats and row back to the ship. The Black Crew reaches the ship first, but the Red Crew starts to catch up in their longboat.
Returning to the Picton Castle
On deck, Ben leaves the Ghosts behind and searches through the drawers on the Chest of Zanzibar, looking for brass puzzle pieces that when arranged on the base of the metal box will reveal the combination to the box's lock. Ben finds the pieces in a secret compartment and immediately starts putting them together. Christa hops aboard the ship and starts putting her own puzzle together right alongside Ben. Both Ben and Christa are neck and neck when Ben figures out the combination: 1688. When he uses that combination on the metal box's lock, he finds a silver key inside.
Ben Becomes Pirate Master
Ben uses the silver key to unlock the Chest of Zanzibar and runs around ecstatically when he finds a large pile of gold coins inside. In the excitement, he grabs Christa and hugs her, saying he owes it all to her. "I'm genuinely happy for Ben," comments Christa. "I wish it was me, but it wasn't meant to be…I'm just so happy to go home to my daughter, my real treasure."
Cameron congratulates Ben, who says, "I'm gonna go home, I'm gonna have some brews and I'm just gonna chill…All I'm gonna do is just be at peace 'cause I know that I don't have to struggle paycheck to paycheck."
After enduring 15 grueling Expeditions, using both his brawn and cunning, 23-year-old Ben Fagan from Charleston, South Carolina has beat out 15 competitors to discover Captain Henry Steel's treasure, worth half a million dollars. He is now Pirate Master.
