"At first, I only wanted to be with my family, my precious herd of animals, and my closest friends, says Dr. Scout Cloud Lee about her return from VANUATU. "I had no interest in being in public and cavorting with anyone else. I was so over having people in my face, 24-7." Soon, though, gregarious Scout settled back into her busy life. "It took a couple of weeks to peer out into the world again, recover my addiction to coffee, sugar, and chocolate, and eat anything other than roots and leaves," she recalls. "I actually fixed Island Stew for my family. It was a way to bring the jungles of Vanuatu back into my world and share it."

Shortly after Scout returned from the island, she and Annie bought a new horse ranch in Tryon, Oklahoma. "For as far as one can see, there are no neighbors," she smiles. "We have ponds, lakes, forests, riding trails, fields of waving pasture grassland, and our little slice of heaven. We call it 'The Rise 'n' Shine Ranch.'" When they're home, they spend time with their quarter horse paints and Appaloosas. "We also hike, kayak, swim in our pool, host a camp for friends and family, take long walks with our four incredible dogs, and watch SURVIVOR and SURVIVOR re-runs on OLN," she says, adding, "I love to read, write, and play music.

As idyllic as their ranch is, Scout and Annie don't spend all their time there. "We travel extensively giving motivational and inspirational speeches to corporations, universities, and public service agencies. We also continue to do our 'Challenge of Excellence: Survive and Thrive' experiential training, both on our ranch and at many locations around the country." Of course, Scout's work doesn't stop there. I wrote and published a new book, Sworn to Fun: Celebrate Every Little Thing, and have two others under contract and in process: Scout's Honor and Tips and Tails from the Trail: Cowgirl Wisdom for Business and Life. We also published a second edition of our book, The Circle Is Sacred. Finally, I'm in the studio recording my fifth CD. We are also hosting cruises beginning in 2006. I do lots of charity events, including The American Heart Association, The American Cancer Society, The Magical Child Foundation, and various Animal Shelters."

Busy Scout doesn't plan on slowing down any time soon. "We are expanding our business to include more and more Challenges of Excellence events," she begins. "We are working with corporations to challenge players to peak performance. We are writing more books and recording more CDs. We have the opportunity to write for the local newspaper and we are looking forward to hosting a television talk show with a Dr. Scout approach that is fun! We always do all that we can to promote peace on earth."

Though her life was already more than full before she went to Vanuatu, being on SURVIVOR has created big changes for Scout. "People stop me in every airport and every city," she laughs. "Total strangers run to give me hugs and express their love. I have the opportunity to speak on television, radio shows, and to lots of civic groups. Kids are so excited to see me and get a signed picture. People feel as though they know me personally, which grants so much freedom to just 'be.' Most of all, I love the love that we all share together and our common bond of being SURVIVOR fanatics!"
