DUPED!
Shane Smoked
On night 32, Shane Powers, the 35-year-old owner of an entertainment marketing company, is stunned when he's betrayed by his alliance and falls in a 3-2 split decision. Worried that Shane is a threat to go to the Final Two on the coattails of Challenge superstar Terry, Shane's allies, Cirie and Aras, join forces with Danielle to make Shane the 12th castaway voted out of SURVIVOR: PANAMA--EXILE ISLAND. Shocked by the outcome, Shane's Final Words communicate his utter disbelief: "I got duped. I was blindsided. I really thought that Cirie, Aras and me were locked in."
COVERUP
Returning to camp after a surprising Tribal Council in which Courtney was covertly voted off for fear that she was too attractive, especially to Shane, as a Final Two partner, Shane demands an explanation from his alliance for the last-minute vote change. Aras and Cirie team up to cover their tracks by coming up with a story about Courtney wanting to vote out Aras. Cirie explains, "Coming back from Tribal was a little bit uncomfortable, because Shane wanted to go to the Final Two with Courtney. So to reassure Shane, Aras and I came up with a story that we couldn't tell him we decided to vote Courtney because we didn't have time." Their lie is convincing, and Shane even admits, "I'm just so happy [Courtney's] gone. Couldn't have happened to a loopier broad."
LIAR, LIAR
Terry was also double-crossed at Tribal when Danielle, who was supposed to be allied with Terry and Courtney, voted with Aras and Cirie to take down Courtney. Terry laments, "Danielle and myself, we were going to take Courtney to the Final Three. We shook hands on it, we looked each other in the eye, and I was lied to. So as far as I'm concerned, if Danielle is the next one on the chopping block, then that's fine with me." |
