However, the captors make no demands and set no timeline for negotiation. Tensions run high as the missing students are children of prominent government officials and foreign nationals. When Tiffy & Kim discover that Lissy has a boyfriend, the boy’s mother tells Tiffy the families cannot fraternize. Kim sympathizes and allows the kids to spend time together until Lissy takes advantage of Kim's generosity and trouble ensues.

When a Special Forces aircraft is downed in Papua New Guinea, Brown and Williams are sent to the crash site to retrieve the black box. Once they arrive, the men discover that to find the box, they need help from an indigenous tribe, and Williams must participate in an ancient religious ritual. At home, Mack finds out that Crystal has been leaking sensitive information to a snooping reporter and tries to stop her. Angered, Crystal threatens to expose their affair, but Jonas steps in and does some swift damage control.

Meanwhile, Molly and Tiffy's trip to Vietnam for a yearly ceremony honoring men from all sides lost to the war turns into a mission to bring home a soldier missing in action.
