THE EGG'S THE THING: MARGO IS CUT
When they take over management of a Bed & Breakfast for a weekend, both Artisans and Crafty Beavers struggle to keep things running smoothly in all arenas. However, after a bungled Sunday brunch and continuing personality conflicts, Team Artisan makes a collective decision to cut Margo out of the game.

Day 13 begins with a road trip to the historic Roger Sherman Inn at New Canaan, Connecticut. On the way there, Darlene expresses pride in her team, feeling that the Artisans "have really jelled" as a group. Upon arrival, both teams meet with Joan, who explains this week's challenge: to run this picturesque bed & breakfast for the weekend. Duties will include preparing rooms, manning the front desk, presenting welcome snacks and serving a formal brunch to the guests the next day. The Perfectionists will be judged on the guests' overall experience, including room, food and service satisfaction. In addition to running the inn, each player must create a wreath made from fruit for their personal project.

POACHING DARLENE
Joan announces another zinger: the teams will again be evened up, and the Crafty Beavers get to choose a player from Team Artisan. After a few moments of private deliberation, the Beavers choose a stunned Darlene. Dawn is disappointed to lose Darlene, saying, "It probably won't be near as crazy and fun with Darlene not on our team anymore." Mitch has a strategy in making his choice; he knows Kimberly and Margo are on the outs, and feels that Darlene has balanced the group.

Joan reveals that the desk duties will rotate between teams every half hour, but someone must be available to answer the phone every minute of the day. The Perfectionists are sent on their way, and they quickly deduce that all the rooms need serious work.

LET THE SCRAMBLING BEGIN
The Artisans start madly cleaning, but when Margo realizes that no one is cooking appetizers, she takes it upon herself to make them. Denise is worried about Margo in the kitchen, but Margo pushes through her nervousness even though she's clearly uncomfortable in her surroundings. Although both Kimberly and Margo had intended to work together during the challenge, their personal differences surface once more, and the team is unable to work as a unit.

The Crafty Beavers throw Darlene into the kitchen, and she literally races around, making up a fantastic spread of appetizers for the guests. The other Crafty Beavers attack the rooms, grossed out by the filth they find. A few hours later, their first guests arrive: Candace, her husband Charles and their dog Betsy. After Darlene presents an array of appetizers, their lone complaint about food is that there is too much of everything. Heather also switches them to a new bedroom because of a sheet glitch, but Candace asks to return to their original room. "I feel like I'm in Fawlty Towers," she quips.

David and his guest Angie arrive as guests of Team Artisan, and Dawn delivers a history of the inn as she delivers them to their rooms. Margo prepares and serves her chicken soup, but David finds it cold and asks that it be heated up. Both David and Angie are disappointed by the lack of flavor in the soup, and don't finish their portions.

GET THIS MAN A DRINK
When Darlene unexpectedly arrives late that night, the Crafty Beavers take him on. The team scrambles to make up a drink and a meal for their late arrival, but when they leave the front desk empty, Candace calls down for room service. However, Darlene's lightning-fast efforts in the kitchen are rewarded by Bobby's approval.

As the night progresses, Denise continues to prepare for the next morning's brunch, while Kimberly and Dawn are unproductive and slap-happy due to lack of sleep. Uninspired by her personal project, an exhausted Dawn falls asleep on the floor, while Denise quickly finishes her wreath in an hour at 5 am.

When morning rolls around, the judges perform an official white-glove inspection of both teams' rooms. Although the Artisans seem to get through the evaluation unscathed, Candace crows, "Dust!" at one point when checking out the Crafty Beavers' room.

GET THIS MAN SOME SYRUP
The cooking for brunch begins, and everyone works diligently right up to the moment the judges sit down to eat. The Crafty Beavers are up first, and their food goes over well, with the exception of Heather's bland chicken potpie. On the Artisans' side, the store-bought orange juice in the mimosas is frowned upon, as is Denise's caramel apple French toast. The judges wait for service, and when none arrives, Bobby heads into the kitchen to get some syrup (grabbing one of Mitch's cinnamon rolls on his way out.)

The Artisans hover around Margo as she cooks the eggs, but Margo brushes off their offers to help. The various cooking procedures, including scrambling, frying and poaching, overwhelm Margo, and she trashes many eggs in the process. Candace's fried egg is in shambles, and in the end, Bobby heads back into the kitchen to show Margo and the rest of the team how to poach an egg. His directions please Kimberly (whose earlier recommendations are echoed by Bobby) while they devastate Margo.

WHAT NOT TO WEAR
Evaluation time arrives, and the judges grill the two groups on their teamwork. Artisans Dawn and Margo get high marks: Dawn for extra effort, Margo for high spirits. However, Kimberly's too-casual attire is criticized, as is the lack of attention paid to the brunch guests. On the Crafty Beavers' side, Amy is applauded for being able to hunt down bourbon for Bobby the night before, but Candace is unhappy that she was asked to swap rooms. Heather's potpie gets a thumbs-down for lack of seasoning, and Bobby tells her that her lack of confidence in her meal was immediately apparent.

Deliberations begin, and the judges discuss the many details that went into running the inn. Ultimately, they feel that the Crafty Beavers did a better job overall. As for the individual projects, the judges are underwhelmed by all of them, but Margo's and Denise's are the least impressive. Margo takes it hard, feeling that none of the other Perfectionists can match her drive and passion.

PLAYING TO WIN
That night in the Rock Garden, Denise and Margo plead their cases to Kimberly and Dawn. Denise is grateful for the time she's had in the game, while Margo tells the team she wants to stay to win. Unsurprisingly, both Dawn and Kimberly choose Margo to go, and Denise is welcomed back into the Artisans' open arms
