AFTER THE RACE

What was your worst moment in the Race?
Chip: Losing patience and composure in Korea.
Reichen: In the very beginning when we were on the third (last) flight to Milan.

What was the best moment in the Race?
Chip: Feeding the orangutans with Reichen in Malaysia.
Reichen: There were two best moments: feeding the orangutans and skydiving.

When and how was your relationship with your teammate strengthened or changed?
Chip: Strengthened as we now know almost everything about each other and have a much more positive attitude.
Reichen: My relationship with Chip was strengthened on the final leg when we both resolved to have a positive attitude and to just 'know' we would win.

Is there any place you'd revisit, or wish you had been able to visit?
Chip: Revisit Malaysia and would love to have visited Russia.
Reichen: Given the time and opportunity, I want to go back to Malaysia and Cairns. Both are so beautiful and the people are so incredibly nice.

If you could do the Race over, what would you do differently?
Chip: Smile and laugh a lot more--have fun.
Reichen: I would have 'broken the wood' instead of 'eating the octopus' in Korea.

Of all the things you packed, what was the most useful?
Chip: An all weather warm undershirt used in all climates.
Reichen: Our 'spare blankets' that we could sleep in, and power bars!

What did you wish you'd brought with you, but didn't?
Chip: More power bars …More power bars!
Reichen: Pictures of Hans and Fritz.

Now that you've finished the Race, what are your plans?
Chip: Sleep, have fun, and help kids who may be having issues with their sexuality. If I can use this exposure to help kids that would be great. I am also finalizing plans to work with a media company.
Reichen: I have an acting coach and am aiming for a part on a soap opera.
