ERIC CAN'T SLEEPTALK HIS WAY OUT OF THIS ONE
Now that their hopes of being saved by the Veto Power have been dashed, Eric and Lisa are coming to grips with the fact that one of them will be evicted. Eric says he's not campaigning to stay, but that he's aware work is being done on his behalf. Despite the growing relationship he has with Lisa, he says that if it were his decision, he'd evict her so that he could stay in the game. Lisa, unaware that Chiara has had an about-face in her feelings towards her, says she'll remain friends with Chiara after the game is over. Chiara reminds Roddy that she's not as fond of Lisa as she used to be. Lisa is worried by the number of times she's seen Josh talking to Chiara, and thinks he's trying to influence her. Josh tells Chiara that he overheard a conversation between Eric and Lisa that suggested Lisa would go after Chiara if she stayed for not using the Veto Power to save her. Jason, privy to insider information, tells Marcellas that Chiara has decided to evict Lisa. Marcellas, in turn, tells Danielle, who takes it back to Chiara and asks her why. Chiara tells her what Josh told her about Lisa's plan for revenge, and Danielle cautions her to consider the source of her information. Danielle has an ulterior motive: her stated goal is "simply to get Eric out" of the House.
Host Julie Chen interviews the HouseGuests from the BIG BROTHER studio. Lisa calls their date "very special," and thanks the HouseGuests for making it happen. Josh was instrumental in pulling off the date, and worked so hard because he considers Lisa and Eric to be "America's cutest couple." For their final thoughts, Eric says he bears no ill will towards anybody in the House and that he looks forward to seeing everyone again. Lisa is more emotional, telling the group that when she arrived she had a "gray spot" in her life, but that she's glad she came to BIG BROTHER and found a "beautiful family." She also thanks Eric for "opening her heart."
FIRST VOTING
The decision of whom to vote for this week is not an easy one. Josh is bitter towards both Lisa and Eric. He says that Eric sold him out by approaching Gerry with a deal that would have put Josh up for nomination, but that Lisa also backstabbed him earlier by going against their plan when she was Head of Household. Danielle says that Lisa has the same value system she does, but she feels that Eric would go after Gerry or Josh for eviction, which would give her another week in the House. Roddy admires Lisa's ability to make him smile, but notes that he's closer to Eric and that he personally benefits most from Eric staying. Josh and Roddy vote to evict Lisa, and Danielle votes to evict Eric.
JULIE CHEN TALKS TO GERRY
In a private discussion from the HoH room, Julie Chen asks Gerry how he felt about becoming the ultimate power in the House after having been ignored. Gerry calls it "retribution," and says he's happy to have gotten the power at a time when he could still use strategy in his decisions. Having spoken to Eric and Lisa after nominating them, Gerry says he doesn't regret nominating them, but that he has reevaluated whom he would vote for in case of a tie in the eviction voting.
Voters in the second round don't have any easier a time with their decisions. Marcellas is fond of Eric's "live and let live" philosophy, and thinks that Lisa is someone he'd be friends with outside the House. Jason has doubts about Eric for how readily he tried to sell out Josh to Gerry, but also feels that Lisa has ridden Eric's coattails to last this long. Chiara feels a bond to both nominees. She notes her resemblance to Lisa, but is close to Eric because they're from the same state. Eventually, Marcellas and Jason vote to evict Eric, and Chiara votes to evict Lisa. After all six eligible HouseGuests have weighed in, the vote is tied at three apiece, leaving the tiebreaker decision in the hands of Gerry, the Head of Household.
