AMANDA'S OUT, JEE MOVES UP
Power of Veto holder Dana opts to "respect the Head of Household" and keep the nominations intact, securing an eviction for either Amanda or Jee. With Scott's early exit, festering relationships between the exes and an impending eviction, life in the House is tense, but will a little romance relieve the pressure? The HouseGuests cast their votes, and Amanda is the first HouseGuest evicted in a unanimous decision. Meanwhile, her fellow nominee has a different fate and a major promotion, as he becomes the new Head of Household.
"NO SHORTAGE OF DRAMA"
When fellow nominees Jee and Amanda discuss their predicament as they sit in the backyard, Amanda understates her situation by saying "it's been a stressful week." But other HouseGuests are feeling the pressure, too. Exes Erika and Robert try to settle old feuds, but their differences appear irreconcilable when Robert tells Erika that they are "not friends." Erika breaks down in tears, upset over Scott's unexpected departure and the strain of living with an unwelcome member of her past.
Meanwhile, Jack, Erika, Nathan and Dave are growing more suspicious of Dana's duality, and Agent Jack suggests putting her loyalty to the test. They discuss Dana's affection for Justin, and decide to test Dana by asking her to use her POV to save Jee and put Justin on the block instead. With eerily perfect timing, Dana enters the room, but they barely have time to discuss their idea with her before Justin himself interrupts. In the Power of Veto Meeting, Dana informs her housemates that she will "respect the Head of Household" by not exercising the POV, leaving Jee and Amanda on the chopping block. Perhaps Jee articulates it best when he says "to think that this is just week one."
Meanwhile, the Head of Household Room turns into a love shack, as Amanda and Dave's flirtation heats up. David says the two of them have "really good chemistry," and they put that chemistry to the test during an "intimate" night spent with some lovin' under the covers in the HoH room. When host Julie Chen asks Alison how things have changed since Scott left the House, she giggles and replies that she is "a little more comfortable."
EFFECTS OF THE X FACTOR
Jun and Jee can agree on one thing: there is no attraction between them in the house. But what does Jee's current girlfriend think? After reviewing footage of Jee and Jun, Jee's current flame, Carmen, states that she is "prettier" than Jun and that she thinks Jun is "immature." Jee feels "secure" in his relationship with Carmen, despite his flirtations in the BIG BROTHER House.
But is Alison's current boyfriend, Donny, feeling secure? Donny admits that Alison is a "very flirtatious girl," but despite that knowledge, he seems taken aback upon reviewing footage of Alison and Nathan smooching under the covers in the HoH Room. Alison admits that the X Factor is "the worst thing that could ever happen" to her relationship with Donny.
With all this relationship drama taking over the House, Julie asks single Nathan if he thinks the X Factor is working to his advantage. His answer: "definitely."
In the Diary Room, Justin says that Amanda "brings a lot of life to the House," and Dana admits that the HouseGuests "didn't give Amanda a fair chance."
