ALI SAVED, REPLACED WITH DAVE
Dana's bold nominations and alliance-defining moves have everyone in the House talking game. The House is "evenly split," according to Robert, with two alliances facing off and playing hard, and this week's Veto Competition was fiercely fought. Nathan was victorious, and in a ceremony that left the HouseGuests shocked, he exercised his Power of Veto to rescue damsel-in-distress Alison, forcing Dana to choose David as the replacement nominee.
A HOUSE DIVIDED
In one swift move, Dana distances herself from her original alliance in favor of a coalition with Exes Jee, Robert and Justin (and possibly Jun). Dana says "the line is definitely drawn," but her former allies-turned-foes are crying foul. Nominee Ali doesn't even "want to see her face," while fellow nominee Jack calls Dana's move "dreadfully stupid." Meanwhile, the other side of the House is breathing a sigh of relief and praising HoH Dana, with flirt buddy Justin calling her strategy "ingenious." Erika and Alison, who now have a nomination in common, discuss the "X Factor" and its effect on the game. Both feel that their nominations are a direct result of their exes' influence, and Alison is convinced her current plight is due to Dana's blossoming relationship with Ali's ex, Justin.
When Nathan approaches Dana to question her about Alison's nomination, Dana asserts that it was "just strategy," but later says in the Diary Room that the nomination was a message to Alison: "I'm going to get you before you get me." Eventually, Alison herself confronts Dana, but Dana sticks to her explanation that "it's a game." She later says that she did what "nobody had the balls to do."
DYNAMIC DUO
With the alliances now clearly divided, the Power of Veto could be a crucial element of the game this week. Erika, Dave and Jack discuss the importance of their winning the POV, and converse about Dana's double-crossing, with Jack pointing out that "she no longer has a real friend," since she has gone against both alliances.
After Jack exits the room, Erika and Dave quietly discuss the dilemma of choosing Jack or Alison to stay in the game. David is quick to declare that Jack should stay in the House, but Erika doesn't seem as certain, and reminds David of what a tough competitor Alison could be for their alliance. Nominee Alison is still convinced that Justin is behind her nomination, and she confronts him. Justin denies having any part in it, but admits that he is depending on Dana to get him through the game, giving Dana credit for his survival in the House this week.
Alison and Justin may be the dueling duo, but Alison and Nathan are the Dynamic Duo! When not flirting, they've been doing some serious strategizing, and it seems as though their alliance is solidified. Nathan says that it's them "against the world," and that Alison is the "brains" while he is the "brawn."
