SURVIVOR Host: If you're just joining us, we're chatting live with SURVIVOR 2nd Runner-Up Rob Cesternino. Let's get started! Hey, Rob! Thanks for being here today. Are you ready for some questions?
Rob: I've been ready for a long time for this.

iZagged: How much preparation did you do for the show, and how much research on the game play did you do?
Rob: You would not believe the amount of research I did before the show. I watched every episode from every season. I read strategy books, I worked out and put on about fifteen pounds.

rob_rocks: Rob, was anyone really angry with you after watching the comments you made to the cameras? They were DAMN funny, by the way.
Rob: [laughs] I'm sure more than a few Survivors were upset with what I said. I hope they all know it was all in good fun.

leahsmom: Rob, did you watch the last SURVIVOR when Brian won? Do you feel as if you had the same type of strategy as he did?
Rob: I feel as though my strategy was a little different than Brian's. Brian dominated the game for most of his 39 days; he also dominated the Challenges, whereas I had to flip-flop a lot more and really be on my toes for my entire stay of the game. But I do have tremendous respect for the game that Brian played.

LoRules: Rob, you were very good at rolling with the twists and turns of the game. How far did you look ahead to make alliances? Did you think about things ahead of time? Or were they more spur-of-the-moment?
Rob: I was always trying to think ahead in the game. It's hard to predict the twists and turns the SURVIVOR game will take, so I tried to keep a good relationship with everyone so that I would be able to change alliances when necessary.

Karey: Rob: Playgirl:
yes or no?
Rob: That's a big yes. Wait til they call and offer me about twenty-five cents. [laughs]

Dewey: Would you have pulled a stunt like "The Rally Speedo" if you were in jeopardy?
Rob: I believe that wearing the Rally Speedo would have definitely been the final nail in my coffin.

StillShocked: Rob, were you able to discuss the game with other Jury members before the final vote?
Rob: No, at no point are the Jury members allowed to discuss the game, nor would I want to talk about the game before the final Jury vote.

jamie: Was there any sex in the Amazon?
Rob: [laughs] I wish there were sex in the Amazon! But I think all the girls were glad that there wasn't...especially in my case.

Canadian_Twig: Rob, was Heidi as big of a threat as she thinks she was? I mean, were the men really scared of her?
Rob: I don't know if we were really scared of Heidi, but I did think of her as a threat in the game. She was a threat in physical and mental Challenges, and I knew she would be popular with the Jury.

SURVIVOR: Rob, Do you think Heidi really has a very high IQ?
Rob: For all I know, Heidi could be the smartest woman on the planet, but the fact of the matter is that when she was talking to me I was never listening to a word she said. [laughs] I was kind of distracted.

shersidhe: Why did you vote for Jenna over Matt? Do you really believe that she played a better game strategically, or that she deserved to win?
Rob: I do believe that Jenna played a strong strategic game. She knew what was going on in the game for every vote with the exception of Alex. She had her back up against the wall and won the final two Challenges, and she was the only one that was ever able to get me voted out of the game. As a player, I have to give credit where credit is due.

jamie: If you could have been with any girl out there, who would it be?
Rob: In the beginning of the game, I would have definitely said Heidi, but as time went by and I got to meet Jenna, she definitely gave her a run for her money.

Mommarabbit: Rob, I loved your luxury item, the most inventive one yet. What made you think of taking it along?
Rob: I wanted to have a luxury item that could be enjoyed by the entire tribe, and when all the men were together asking the Magic 8 Ball questions about the girls, it was a fun thing to do to pass the time. When Jenna was voting in the Final Three, I asked the Magic 8 Ball if Jenna was going to vote me off. It said "You May Rely On It," and I knew my number was up.

DjAlex: Who do you feel, out of all of those who were sent to the Amazon, should have won, with the exception of the Final Two and yourself?
Rob: Out of the remaining players, I would have to say Deena would be my pick. She was a major threat and a tremendous player.

leahsmom: Rob, is Matt's "acting" claim true, or should DC be worried?
Rob: [laughs] If Matthew's claiming "acting," then the award for best actor in a dramatic television series needs to presented to Matthew Von Ertfelda at the Emmys. I don't believe Matthew's claim that he was acting, because I think if that was the case we would have seen him talk about it in his confessionals. But Matthew is a great guy and a dear friend.

chupac: Hey Rob, did you ever regret underestimating Matt early on in the game?
Rob: I don't think I ever underestimated Matt, because Matthew developed as a game player, and I was always conscious of Matt's capabilities in the game.

heidisfakechest: Were you planning on voting off Alex before he told you he'd kick you off if it came to that?
Rob: No, I wasn't planning on voting off Alex at that point. I was thinking in my head that when it got down to five, Alex and I would side with the other remaining player and vote off Jenna or Heidi. But it was just as much Alex telling me he wouldn't vote the girls off that made me want to vote him off.

Aamir: Do you think voting Christy off earlier was a bad idea after you saw she voted for Jenna instead of you?
Rob: The problem was I didn't want to face the possibility of a tie at Tribal Council. And because Christy is such a wild card, she often made her decisions to vote at Tribal Council, and as a strategic planner I couldn't afford to take that risk. I'm very sorry that Christy had to go, because she is a very nice girl.
