Survivor Host: Hi Shii Ann! Thanks for being here today. Are you ready to take some questions?
Shii Ann: Yes! Thanks for having me. I'm very, very excited to talk to everyone.
WindyCityJo: Shii Ann, I had so hoped you could pull this out! Do you think maybe you are just too smart for this game? The others don't seem to be thinking at all!
Shii Ann: [laughs] Wow. I like you! I think that people were unable to be objective about their position in the tribe. There was a definite pecking order, and those at the bottom refused to see the value of switching up the game, and it will prove to be their mistake.
haterob: Shii Ann, I love the way you stirred things up at the very end? Why did you decide to do that?
Shii Ann: I did it to send a message to tribe to mix it up; people were getting really content in the positions. And I think that it needed to be pointed out that the person who appeared to me to be an outsider was the biggest the threat, and under the radar the whole time. Also, it was just playful fun at the end. I'm not going to just let them sail to the final two. I think it was fun to stir the pot--people were just way too confident in their plans.
yougo: Shii Ann, you really worked it! Am I correct in assuming you knew you were being voted out?
Shii Ann: I knew I couldn't hold out much longer. As soon as I lost the Challenge I tried to play my last card, make last-minute alliances to tell people how valuable it would be to vote-off some of the "power-two" alliances. It didn't work, but it made the game a lot more fun to try to influence people at the end.
robby: Sorry to see you go last night Shii-Devil...unfortunately, all the zombies were still under Rob's spell, so not much stirring up you could do. When will everyone finally open their eyes and see the truth behind Rob's lies?
Shii Ann: [laughs] When the zombie dust wears off. Even though Rob is getting a lot of props for pulling the wool over people's eyes, behind every great man is a great woman. He has a lot of power, but part of it comes from this bond with Amber. It's quite fascinating to watch.
Mommarabbit: Shii Ann, Good going. Do you think Amber truly cares for Rob, or do you think she is playing him to win the game?
Shii Ann: As far as I can tell it's a little bit of both. I don't see the appeal, but perhaps the zombie dust is working on her, too.
cjmiah: Hey Shii Ann! I tried to chat with you in the Thailand chat last year but my question was never answered, so here is a question... What do you think was your mistake that put the final nail in your coffin?
Shii Ann: I think the mistake was not beating Tom in the fire Challenge. The only way I could have stayed longer was to come into the merge with more people in my original alliance or to continue winning individual Immunity Challenges.
Shii_Aint: Were you praying for a gust of wind to blow out Big Tom's fire?
Shii Ann: [laughs] I was paying too much attention to my fire to be concerned about Tom. Actually I was hoping he'd run out of matches. I was a city girl, I like to use electricity, and it was hard for me to beat Big Tom in that Challenge.
martinique: Shii Ann, you were SO close on that last Immunity Challenge! How ticked was Rob that he blew it?
Shii Ann: I think he was fairly mad. I wasn't really paying attention to him; I was concentrating on my own fire. Again, the rest of the tribe did not use that opportunity to vote out Rob. Another chance missed!
chetino: Shii Ann, who do you see yourself staying friends with from SURVIVOR: ALL-STARS?
Shii Ann: Quite good friends with Kathy, Jenna M. and Ethan. But my personal favorite has to be Rupert. I can't wait to see him at the finale. He was truly sweet to me, but we didn't see too much of it on the show.
substanSHIIate: Shii Ann, at your last Tribal Council you were on a tirade! How long did it last and was Jeff pissed off at you, because he asked you, "Did you get it all out?"
Shii Ann: No, Jeff wasn't mad, he was asking me if I was done. It was fun to have my final say, and I definitely got it all out.
llama: Hey Shii Ann, could you give a one word description for every Survivor left?
Shii Ann: Amber--shrewd; Rupert--too trusting; Jenna L.--bossy; Tom--naive; Rob--deceptive.
Angelikk: Did you know that Boston Rob made an alliance with Rupert and Jenna too?
Shii Ann: Yes. I definitely did. The thing is that they had closer alliances to each other. Rob and Amber had a close alliance; Rupert and Jenna had a close alliance. Unless they're planning on picking rocks, one of them is going to have to stab the other in the back. Or, they could try to switch things up, use Tom and mix it up.
probstess: Hi Shii Ann, I was a little thrown by your "Asian girl" comment two episodes ago. Do you really believe, considering the diversity of past Survivor players and winners, that the race card played a role in your early departure?
Shii Ann: My comment had nothing to do with the race card--it was joke. And I thought it was funny they left the Asian woman rice--who by the way, would have chosen the rice out of the last three things remaining anyway. Survivor does touch on issues of race. It would be silly to ignore the fact that there are different races and cultures within the quilt that is America.
katiekat: Shii Ann, you played beautifully. I thought you might have turned it around when you won Immunity last week. You seemed too excluded from the other tribe members. Was that the way they really treated you? How did you stand it?
Shii Ann: It was the way the majority of the tribe treated me in public. Privately I had lots of pleasant, friendly conversations with Rupert, and even a few with Big Tom. And Amber. But when in a large group they had to treat me like an outsider. It was fun being able to watch them lie to and get fooled by each other. It will be really fun to see how these five players back-stab each other in the next few days.
worththewait: I know you can't tell us what they are, but are your questions for the final two Survivors going to be worth the wait?
Shii Ann: You'll just have to watch and see.
klauklau: Did you get tired of Jenna L talking about plantains? How difficult is it to cook bananas after all?
Shii Ann: [laughs] Yes, Jenna was bit of a control freak with the plantains. But we were all a bit paranoid and on edge out there.
nicky: Oh Shii Ann! Your poor mother! Did she recover from eating that gross thing?
Shii Ann: [laughs] Poor mom, I love her so much, and I'm so proud of her for trying to eat that. If it were me, I would have won that Challenge because I have an empty stomach. But at least she didn't have to eat the farfaru, which smells like a garbage truck on a hot summer day. It's disgusting.
Mommarabbit: Shii Ann, did you have a good reunion with Kathy and Lex after the vote?
Shii Ann: Yes. It was wonderful to see Kathy again; she was a good friend to me out there.
SurvFan: Shii Ann, what else did you say at the Tribal Council that wasn't shown on last night's episode?
Shii Ann: I think it pretty much showed it all. I don't remember ... those were definitely the highlights from my final Tribal.
rattler: Shii Ann, I was glad you won Immunity last week, mainly for the shake-up of the tribe. Did you feel that the game had become too predictable?
Shii Ann: Thanks, I'm glad I won Immunity as well. The game was becoming predictable because we had players who were content coming in fourth or fifth place. That wasn't good enough for me. I wanted to go to the final two, even though the odds were stacked against me. Unfortunately, other players were not able to see beyond the short term, so it seemed to be very predictable.
Angelikk: Shii Ann, if you got a chance to be in the final two, and you could choose the other Survivor, who would that other person be?
Shii Ann: [laughs] Of the final five, Rob or Jenna L. In my opinion they are the least liked of the remaining players.
LastofthePagongs: I am so sorry to see you go "Shii Devil." Did you consider forming any "romantic" alliances out there with anyone, as Amber has done with Rob?
Shii Ann: [laughs] Absolutely not. If you got as close as I did to the men in my tribe you realize that not bathing for twenty-some-odd days makes most men very unattractive. The thought of kissing someone who had not brushed their teeth in that amount of time is simply repulsive. Rob must have some voodoo magic powder to have everyone under his spell, including Amber.
