First Dates

Tia and Tamera are afraid they will be the only girls who won't get asked to the school dance. They make a pact that neither one will accept a date until they both have dates -- an agreement Tamera immediately breaks when dreamy Phil invites her to the event. Lisa urges Tia to ask someone out, so she approaches a boy she likes named Charles. Unfortunately, he ignores her hints about the dance, and later, even the usually lovestruck Roger turns Tia down. The night of the dance, Ray takes pictures of Tamera and her date with a mixture of pride and sadness that his little girl is growing up. Tia settles in for a solitary night of pizza and a video, but is "psyched" to learn that the pizza delivery guy is Charles, on his final run. She invites him to stay and watch the movie, and Lisa proudly observes her daughter's "first date" as well. Air Date: Apr 1, 1994
