Biography
Cat Gray's musical experience started at age 12 with his first drum kit and led to positions in The California All-Star Youth Symphony and the McDonald’s All-American All-Star Marching Band. Today, he has toured or recorded with some of the biggest names in music including James Brown, Prince, Sheila E, Stevie Nicks, Earth, Wind & Fire, Maurice White, Sly Stone, and Zakir Hussein.

He has performed live for special television performances with Heart, Michael McDonald, Jessica Simpson, Take 6, Chaka Khan, Paul Anka, Solomon Burke, Jane Child, Sheila E, Glen Campbell, Joe Cocker, Wayne Newton, Barry Manilow, The Four Tops, Mary J. Blidge, Isaac Hayes, RuPaul, Dionne Warwick, Lionel Richie, Whitney Houston, Kenny G, and El DeBarge.

His television credits include providing music for Entertainment Tonight, The Insider, Dr. Phil, The Doctors, Racheal Ray, and The Wayne Brady Show. Working with Brady provided the opportunity to go on tour a perform with his improvisational music/comedy shows.

Gray possesses an encyclopedic knowledge of all styles of recorded music with particular emphasis on big band swing, funk, traditional country & bluegrass, Indian, and impressionist early 20th century classical.

A native of Los angeles, Gray's birthdate is May 6.
